Clark Wood is delighted to be working with a well-established independent firm of chartered accountants in Preston who are looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Senior to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified (ACA / ACCA) or QBE individual to take on a key role within a friendly, forward-thinking practice. You’ll be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients and supporting the development of junior team members.

The Role:
As an Accounts Senior, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services to a diverse client base of SMEs and owner-managed businesses. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
Preparation of corporation tax returns and computations
Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing guidance where needed
Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong, professional relationships
Supporting partners and managers with ad-hoc projects and advisory work
Ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations

What We’re Looking For:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or QBE with strong experience in practice
Solid technical knowledge of accounts and basic tax compliance
Previous experience in reviewing junior team members' work
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple client relationships confidently
