Accounts SeniorPenrith, Cumbria | £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
A leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Penrith is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Senior to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Senior with UK accountancy practice experience to join a well-established and forward-thinking firm offering genuine career progression, a varied client portfolio, and a supportive working environment.
Working with a broad range of owner-managed businesses, limited companies, partnerships and sole traders, you will take responsibility for preparing statutory accounts, tax returns and providing day-to-day support to a portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities

Preparing year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Preparing corporation tax computations and company tax returns
Completing personal tax returns where required
Managing your own portfolio of clients and acting as their day-to-day point of contact
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the accounts team
Building strong client relationships and providing proactive advice
Assisting managers and partners with ad hoc assignments and business advisory work

Skills & Experience

AAT qualified, ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist/QBE considered)
Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
Excellent communication and client management skills
Keen to progress your career within a successful and expanding firm
