Manager / Senior Manager – Business Services
Location: Leeds
Salary: £50,000 – £75,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Clark Wood is working with a highly regarded and progressive independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Leeds who are looking to appoint a Manager / Senior Manager to join their growing Business Services team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking practice that continues to expand through strong organic growth. The firm acts for a diverse and high-quality client base, including owner-managed businesses and family-run companies across Yorkshire and beyond.

The role offers a clear pathway for progression, with genuine opportunities to move into a Director-level position and take on wider leadership responsibilities.

The Role

This is a key position within the firm, offering a blend of client advisory, team leadership, and business development.

You will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor, and supporting the ongoing development of the team.

Key Responsibilities
Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, acting as the main point of contact
Providing proactive business and financial advice, supporting clients with strategic decision-making
Reviewing year-end accounts, management accounts, and associated tax compliance work
Leading, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior staff
Identifying opportunities to add value and cross-sell additional services
Supporting business development activities and contributing to the firm’s continued growth
Assisting clients with forecasting, cashflow management, and business planning

Candidate Profile
ACA / ACCA qualified
Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice environment
Proven experience operating at Manager or Senior Manager level
Excellent technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102)
Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or similar
Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
A proactive and commercially aware approach

Salary & Benefits
£50,000 – £75,000 dependent on experience
