Specialist Accountancy Practice recruitment consultancy Clark Wood are working with a very well-established and leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Halifax who are looking to add an Accounts Senior / Senior Accountant to their growing team.
As an Accounts Senior / Senior Accountant your role will be varied and will see you working with a diverse portfolio of clients. You will be responsible providing Accounting and Tax compliance services to a range of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. The workload will include the preparation and review of both statutory and management accounts as well as tax compliance and you will also be involved with providing business advisory services to clients.

The ideal candidate may be ACCA / ACA Qualified, may be working towards the ACA / ACCA, or may be AAT Qualified or Qualified by Experience. Experience of working in practice is essential,

Duties & Responsibilities:
The role will predominantly involve preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines and work well within a team.
Experience of preparation of incorporated and unincorporated accounts
Managing & supervising the work of more junior staff
Review accounts and act as point of reference to the team with regard to complex issues
Involvement with business advisory work
AAT Qualified, ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified
Experience of undertaking a varied practice role
Up to date knowledge of all relevant accounting standards
