Accounts Senior – Dumfries

We are currently supporting a well-established firm of chartered accountants in their search for an Accounts Senior to join their Dumfries office and wider Business Services Service Line.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a varied role within a dynamic team, working across a broad range of clients in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Preparing draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and companies, ready for review by a Business Services Assistant Manager / Manager
Drafting business tax computations for review
Preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping assignments, and management accounts
Assisting with filing financial statements and corporate tax returns
Raising queries as appropriate to the Business Services Assistant Manager / Manager

Candidate Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who:
Hold a Full UK Driving Licence
Are AAT, ICAS, ACCA, or ACA qualified, or “Qualified by Experience”
Have experience working in an accounting role within a practiceAre comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Are a dedicated team player willing to support colleagues
Can prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure
Have strong initiative, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Are keen to be part of a dynamic team
