Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a prestigious regional firm who, as a result of continued growth, are seeking to recruit an ambitious Accounts Senior to join their team in Durham.

As an Accounts Senior you will work with a diverse portfolio of clients which will primarily consist of limited companies, but will also include some private individuals and partnerships from an array of industry sectors

Working within this respected and well renowned regional firm, you will benefit from the firm’s already strong and growing presence in the area as you will have exposure to working with a host of interesting clients based in and around Durham.

The successful candidate will have excellent experience of working in a varied general practice position including accounts preparation and tax compliance work. Candidates who are ACA / ACCA Qualified those at the final stages of their studies both be considered.

This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to join an established and reputable firm where there will be genuine opportunities for carer progression.

Duties & Responsibilities

Preparation of limited company statutory accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
Assistance with business advisory work
Preparation of larger sole-trader and partnership accounts
Basic self-assessment tax return preparation
Undertaking basic tax research under supervision
Assistance with tax planning and advisory work
Dealing with HMRC correspondence

Skills

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified
Experience of supervising / reviewing work completed by junior staff would be beneficial
