Accountancy practice Clark Wood are delighted to be working with an established and growing firm of accountants in Shoreham-by-Sea who, due to continued success and growth, are looking to add an ambitious Accounts Senior to join their team where you will work on with broad range of clients.

Our client is looking for an experienced individual to undertake a varied and challenging position in which you will have responsibility for managing your own diverse portfolio of clients.

The workload will be varied and will include the preparation of both year-end and management accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships as well as the completion of the associated tax compliance work. You will also be responsible for undertaking and reviewing bookkeeping work for clients as well as completing VAT returns

Excellent communication skills are a pre-requisite for this position as you will have the responsibility of dealing directly with clients.

The ideal candidate may be ACA / ACCA Qualified or at the latter stages of their studies and will have strong experience of dealing with a broad range of clients within a practice setting. Individuals who do not hold the ACA / ACCA but are qualified by experience will also be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities

Preparing year-end accounts for Limited Companies, sole traders, and partnerships
Preparing corporation tax returns
Preparation of personal tax returns
Management accounts work including use of online accounting software
Ad hoc special assignment work
Working closely with the partners
Assisting and training junior members of the team

Skills & Experience

ACCA / ACA Qualified or Part Qualified (QBE will be considered)
Experience of working in practice is essential
