Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are delighted to be working with an established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in St Austell who are looking to add an ambitious Accounts Senior to their personable and professional team.

As an Accounts Senior your role will be varied but will predominantly consist of providing Accounting and Tax compliance services to a varied portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. The workload will include the preparation and review of both statutory and management accounts as well as corporate and personal tax compliance.

This role offers the incumbent an excellent level of responsibility and autonomy as the successful candidate will liaise directly with clients as well as being involved in the supervision of junior members of the team.

You will work with a wide variety of businesses, playing an integral role in the success of each of your clients by aiding them to achieve their goals.

The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified, ACA / ACCA Qualified or part qualified, or may be Qualified by Experience and will have significant experience of undertaking an accounts focused role within practice.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The role will predominantly involve preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines and work well within a team.
Experience of preparation of incorporated and unincorporated accounts in an accountancy practice using an accounting software package
Reviewing the work of more junior staff

Skills:

ACCA Qualified / Part Qualified, AAT Qualified or Qualified by Experience
Experience of undertaking a varied practice role
Up to date knowledge of all relevant accounting standards
