Accounts Senior

Specialist Accountancy Practice recruiters Clark Wood, are working with a progressive regional firm of chartered accountants in Somerset who, as a result of continued growth, are seeking to recruit an ambitious Business Services Senior to join their team in Honiton.

As a Business Services Senior you will be responsible for the management of a varied portfolio of clients which will include limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. You will be responsible for the provision accounting and taxation services to your clients, ensuring that all work is completed accurately and efficiently.  

The successful candidate will have excellent experience of working in a varied general practice position including Accounts Preparation and Tax work. Candidates who are ACA / ACCA Qualified or those at the final stages of their studies will both be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities

Preparation of limited company statutory accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
Assistance with business advisory work
Preparation of larger sole-trader and partnership accounts
Basic self-assessment tax return preparation
Undertaking basic tax research under supervision
Assistance with tax planning and advisory work
Dealing with HMRC correspondence

Skills

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified
Experience of supervising / reviewing work completed by junior staff would be beneficial
