Accounts Senior

Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a well-established and respected firm of accountants in Scunthorpe who are looking to add an experienced Accounts Senior to join their team where you will work on a diverse portfolio of clients.

The ideal candidate may be ACCA / ACA Qualified, Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience and will have strong experience of dealing with a broad range of clients within a practice setting.

The position will involve the preparation and review of year end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships as well as the completion of the associated tax compliance work (business and personal). You will also have involvement in the provision of bookkeeping services to clients as well as the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts.

This role would be ideally suited to an individual with diverse general practice experience who is looking for an opportunity to develop on their existing skill set in a role where you will form part of a tight knit team and will work closely with the director.

Duties & Responsibilities

Preparing Limited Company accounts
Preparing Corporation Tax computations
Preparing Sole Trader and Partnership accounts
Preparing self-assessment tax returns
Undertaking bookkeeping work for clients
Preparation of VAT returns
Ad hoc special assignment work

Skills & Experience

ACCA / ACA Part or Fully Qualified or Qualified by Experience
Experience of undertaking a varied role within practice
Individuals must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
