Are you ACCA/ACA Part Qualified or Qualified and looking for a new challenge in the Stoke on Trent area. 

Accountancy practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with an established and leading regional firm of Chartered Accountants in Staffordshire who are looking to add an experienced Accounts Senior to their team in Stoke on Trent. 

As an Accounts Senior your role will consist of providing Accounting and Tax compliance services to a varied portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. The workload will include the preparation and review of both statutory and management accounts as well as personal and corporate tax compliance and VAT work. 

This role offers the successful individual an excellent level of responsibility and autonomy as you will work towards having responsibility for your own portfolio of clients as well as being involved in the supervision of junior members of the team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The role will predominantly involve preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines and work well within a team.
Experience of preparation of incorporated and unincorporated accounts in an accountancy practice using an accounting software package
Managing & supervising the work of more junior staff
Review accounts and act as point of reference to the team with regard to complex issues
Involvement with business advisory work

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified 
Experience of undertaking a varied practice role
Up to date knowledge of all relevant accounting standards
