Accounts Semi-Senior - Swansea with ref. ES-19061

Clark Wood is working with an established and well-regarded independent firm in Swansea who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT-qualified (or part-qualified) accountant with solid practice experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive firm that offers clear progression to Senior Accountant level.

The successful candidate will undertake a varied general practice role, preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, alongside associated tax compliance. You will also be involved in bookkeeping and VAT preparation, and play a key role in supporting clients with Making Tax Digital for Income Tax from April.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
Bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
Supporting clients with Making Tax Digital for Income Tax
Assisting with personal and business tax compliance
Working directly with clients and supporting wider team members

Candidate Requirements

AAT qualified (or part-qualified) with 1+ years’ experience in accountancy practice
Good working knowledge of bookkeeping software (QuickBooks experience preferred)
Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach
Keen to progress into a Senior Accountant role
