Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a forward-thinking and growing firm of accountants in Leeds who are now looking to add an Accounts Semi Senior / Accounts Technician to their existing team.

As an Accounts Semi Senior / Accounts Technician your role will predominantly consist of providing Accounting and Tax compliance services to a varied portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. The workload will include the preparation of both statutory and management accounts as well as corporate and personal tax compliance and VAT work.

The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified or may be have already started their ACCA studies. Experience of working in a varied practice role is essential.

Forming part of a small team, you must be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be directly liaising with clients as required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The role will predominantly involve preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines and work well within a team.
Experience of preparation of incorporated and unincorporated accounts in an accountancy practice using an accounting software package
Managing & supervising the work of more junior staff
Review accounts and act as point of reference to the team with regard to complex issues

Skills:

AAT Qualified / ACCA Student
Experience of undertaking a varied practice role
Up to date knowledge of all relevant accounting standards
