Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a well-regarded, highly progressive firm of chartered accountants in Glasgow who are looking to grow their team through the addition of a bright and ambitious Accounts Semi Senior.

As an Accounts Semi Senior you will undertake a varied role which will see you involved with the preparation of year-end accounts and the associated tax computations for a diverse range of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. You will also be responsible for completing bookkeeping work for clients and preparing and submitting periodic VAT returns.

This would be the ideal role for an individual who already possesses experience of working in practice and is now looking to progress their career within an established and prospering firm, with a proven track record for developing their staff.

The successful person may be working towards the latter stages of their AAT Qualification or may have already begun their CA / ACCA studies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assisting with the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Preparation of basic personal and corporate tax computations and returns
Undertaking Bookkeeping work for clients
Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
Liaising with clients to resolve queries where necessary

Skills:

AAT Part or Fully Qualified and CA / ACCA Students will be considered
Practice experience essential
