Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with one of Shropshire’s most well-known independent firms of accountants as they are looking to add a Semi Senior to the Business Services team in their Shrewsbury office.

The workload within the role will be varied and will include both year-end and management accounts preparation, tax compliance work (personal and corporate), as well as bookkeeping and VAT work.

Working as part of an already strong and growing team, you will gain exposure to a broad array of clients from a multitude of business sectors.

The role would be perfectly suited for an ambitious individual who has built a strong foundation in many aspects of practice work, including year-end accounts preparation, and the successful individual may be AAT Qualified or may have already begun their ACA / ACCA studies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Accounts Preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Working on a varied portfolio assisting managers and partners
Liaising directly with clients managing accounts processes
Preparation of corporate and personal tax computations and returns
Completing bookkeeping and VAT work
Communicating with clients when required to resolve any issues which may arise
Supervision and training of junior staff
Working closely with clients and senior staff

Skills:

AAT Qualified or ACA/ACCA Part Qualified
Experience of working in a varied practice position
