Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a respected firm of chartered accountants in Hitchen who are now looking to grow their team by adding an ambitious Semi Senior Accountant / Part Qualified Accountant.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to join a forward-thinking Hertfordshire based firm where you will gain exposure to a broad array of clients..

As a Semi Senior Accountant you will undertake a varied role which will see you involved with the preparation of year-end accounts and the associated tax computations for a diverse range of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. You will also be responsible for completing bookkeeping work for clients and preparing and submitting periodic VAT returns.

This would be the ideal role for an individual who already possesses experience of working in practice and is now looking to progress their career within an established and prospering firm in Hitchin, with a proven track record for developing their staff.

The successful individual will be working through their ACA / ACCA studies and will receive full study support to continue with this.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Preparation of basic personal and corporate tax computations and returns
Undertaking Bookkeeping work for clients
Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
Liaising with clients to resolve queries where necessary

Skills:

AAT Qualified or ACA / ACCA Students
Practice experience essential
