Accounts Semi Senior | Daventry | £26,000 - £32,000 DOE

Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a well-established accountancy practice who are looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior to join their team in Daventry

The Role

Working with a varied portfolio of clients, you will support the delivery of accounts and tax services while developing your own client relationships and taking on increasing responsibility.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients, ready for senior review
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Preparing personal tax returns
  • Undertaking bookkeeping for a varied client portfolio
  • Preparing management accounts
  • Supporting and mentoring trainee members of the team
  • Taking increasing responsibility for planning, organising and delivering client assignments
  • Developing your own client relationships and providing ongoing support and advice

About You

  • AAT student or qualified or currently studying towards ACA / ACCA, or QBE
  • Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and bookkeeping
  • Experience with VAT and personal tax compliance
  • Good working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and client relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
