A highly regarded independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Liskeard is looking to recruit an Accounts Semi-Senior to join its expanding team. The firm acts for a broad portfolio of owner-managed businesses, limited companies, partnerships and sole traders across a wide range of industries, providing accounting, tax and business advisory services.
Key Responsibilities

Preparing year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
Preparing corporation tax computations and company tax returns
Completing self-assessment tax returns for individuals
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Bookkeeping using cloud-based accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, responding to queries in a timely and professional manner
Assisting senior staff with client assignments and ad hoc projects
Supporting the development of junior members of the team where appropriate

Skills & Experience

At least 2 years' experience working within an accountancy practice
AAT qualified or studying towards ACA or ACCA
Experience preparing accounts for a varied client portfolio
Good knowledge of cloud accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
Strong communication and organisational skills
A proactive approach with a genuine desire to continue developing within practice
