Accounts Semi Senior / Senior | Preston | £DOE 

Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a well-established and highly regarded independent firm of chartered accountants in Preston who are looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior / Senior to join their growing team.

The Role

You will support a varied portfolio of clients, with responsibilities including:

  • Preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
  • Preparing personal and corporate tax computations
  • Completing bookkeeping assignments
  • Preparing periodic VAT returns
  • Processing payroll where required
  • Liaising directly with clients and resolving queries
  • Maintaining accurate working papers and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Supporting senior team members with client work
  • Building strong, long-term client relationships

About You

  • AAT Qualified / Part Qualified or studying towards ACA / ACCA or Qualified by Experience
  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice is essential
  • Experience across accounts preparation and tax compliance
  • Good communication and client relationship skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to manage deadlines and work effectively as part of a team
  • Ambitious and keen to progress within a growing practice
