Accountancy practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with this well-established independent firm who are seeking an ambitious Accounts Semi Senior to join the team in their Cheltenham office.

The successful candidate will undertake a varied general practice role, preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, as well as associated tax compliance. You will also complete bookkeeping work for clients and prepare VAT returns.

The ideal candidate will have a sound grounding in general practice work and may be AAT qualified (or nearly qualified) or have already begun studying towards the ACCA or ACA qualification. Experience of working in practice is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation of draft accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations
Bookkeeping work for clients
Preparation of periodic VAT returns
Liaising with clients to resolve queries where necessary

Skills:

AAT Part Qualified / Qualified or ACCA / ACA Students
Practice experience is essential
