Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a highly regarded, independent firm of chartered accountants in Stockport who are now looking to grow their team though the addition of a bright and ambitious Accounts Assistant / Accounts Semi Senior.

The successful individual may have already completed or may be working towards the latter stages of their AAT Qualification or may have recently begun their ACCA studies.

As an Accounts Assistant / Accounts Semi Senior you will undertake a varied role which will see you involved with the preparation of year-end accounts and the associated tax computations for a diverse range of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. You will also be responsible for completing bookkeeping work for clients and preparing and submitting periodic VAT returns.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Preparation of basic personal and corporate tax computations and returns
Undertaking Bookkeeping work for clients
Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
Liaising with clients to resolve queries where necessary

Skills:

AAT Part Qualified / Qualified or ACCA Students
Practice experience essential
