Accounts Manager - Agricultural

Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood is working with a very progressive, regional firm of accountants who are looking for an Accounts Manager to join the team in their Agricultural Team in their Oxford office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to join a well-respected firm of chartered accountants where you will have the opportunity to play an integral role in the continued development and success of the firm.

As an Accounts Manager, you will work closely with the Directors and will be responsible for the management of a diverse portfolio of clients which will include a mix of small-medium limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships from a wide array of business sectors. You will act as the primary point of contact for your clients and will have responsibility for ensuring that all associated work for them is completed accurately and efficiently.

You will be managing a portfolio of clients across the rural and agricultural sectors.

Aside from the client management aspect of the role, you will be responsible for managing and assisting in the development of junior staff which will include providing support to them where necessary and reviewing their work.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified with strong and varied general practice experience. Excellent communication skills are imperative for this role as it is key that you can build and maintain a successful working relationship with multiple clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Liaising directly with clients

Review and finalisation of accounts (unincorporated and incorporated)

Review of Tax computations (corporation Tax and Income Tax)

Review of tax planning opportunities for clients

Review of MI including management accounts and cash flows.

Helping to manage junior/admin staff.

Skills:

ACCA or ACA Qualified

Client management experience

Experience of reviewing work prepared by junior members of staff
