Accounts Manager – Taunton
£45,000 - £55,000 + Hybrid Working + Excellent Benefits
Clark Wood are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Manager to join a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Taunton, Somerset.
This is a great opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with strong practice experience who is looking to progress their career within a supportive and growing firm.
The role would suit an experienced Accounts Manager, Client Manager or Assistant Manager with experience managing a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.
The Role
  • Manage a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
  • Review corporation tax computations and personal tax returns
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients
  • Provide accounting and tax advice to clients
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Review work completed by junior team members
  • Support and develop junior staff
  • Assist Partners with workflow, client management and business development
About You
  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients
  • Strong accounts preparation and tax knowledge
  • Confident reviewing accounts and working directly with clients
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Commercial and client-focused approach
