Accounts Manager | Harrogate | £DOE

Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a highly regarded and expanding firm of chartered accountants who are looking to recruit an Accounts Manager to join their growing team in Harrogate.

The Role

You will manage a portfolio of predominantly owner-managed businesses and SMEs, with responsibilities including:

Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements, management accounts and personal tax returns
Reviewing and submitting VAT returns
Attending client meetings and providing accounting and business advice
Supervising, mentoring and developing junior team members
Reviewing work and allocating assignments
Supporting forecasting, business projections and wider advisory assignments

About You

ACA / ACCA Qualified – Finalists will also be considered
Previous experience managing a client portfolio within an accountancy practice
Strong accounts and tax knowledge, with experience reviewing work
Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Confident providing advice to owner-managed businesses and SMEs
Ambitious and keen to progress within a growing practice
