Clark Wood is currently instructed by one of the UK's most respected professional services firms to recruit an ambitious and driven Accounts Manager for their Stockport office.

​

This significant role offers the successful candidate a genuine opportunity to progress to a senior position within the firm.

​

If you are currently working as an Accounts Senior, Supervisor, or Assistant Manager and are looking to advance your career, or if you are an experienced Client Manager at a small independent firm seeking to enhance your CV and technical accounting knowledge, this role could be for you.

​

As a Client Manager, you will manage a diverse portfolio of small to medium business clients, acting as their first point of contact. You will ensure the efficient and accurate completion of the year-end accounts process, from preparation and review to finalisation of statutory accounts. Thorough preparation for each year-end accounts meeting is essential.

​

Additionally, you will support the development of junior staff by delegating work, reviewing completed tasks, and providing guidance as needed.

​

The Stockport office is easily accessible from various locations across Greater Manchester and Cheshire, including Manchester, Macclesfield, Altrincham, and Wilmslow.

​

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA Qualified with relevant and recent experience in a Business Services or Accounts focused role in practice. Individuals nearing the completion of their studies will also be considered. Prior experience managing a portfolio of clients is beneficial but not essential.
