Accountancy practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a leading and nationally renowned firm of Chartered Accountants who are now looking to recruit an Accounts Manager to join their team in Oswestry.

As an Accounts Manager your role will involve managing a diverse portfolio of clients from a wide array of business sectors. You will act as the primary point of contact for your clients and will have responsibility for ensuring that all associated work for them is completed accurately and efficiently. The workload will involve the review (and preparation in more complex cases) of both statutory and management accounts as well as tax compliance.

Aside from the client management aspect of the role, you will be responsible for managing and assisting in the development of junior staff which will include providing support to them where necessary and reviewing their work.

This role offers the incumbent an excellent level of responsibility and autonomy. You will be responsible for building and maintaining excellent working relationships with both new and existing clients as well as being involved in the supervision and development of junior members of the team.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified and will have relevant experience of working in practice and strong knowledge of financial reporting standards. Previous experience of both portfolio and staff management are highly desirable.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibility for the management of a diverse portfolio of clients
The role will predominantly involve reviewing and preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
Experience of preparation of incorporated and unincorporated accounts in an accountancy practice using an accounting software package
Managing & supervising the work of more junior staff
Review accounts and act as point of reference to the team with regard to complex issues
Involvement in some practice development work for the firm

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified
Experience of managing a portfolio of clients
