Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a small but progressive independent firm of chartered accountants in Bridlington who are looking for a driven and experienced Accounts & Tax Manager to join their team where there will be genuine prospects for partnership progression.

As an Accounts & Tax Manager your role will involve the management and running of a varied portfolio of clients which will include a mix of small-medium limited companies, sole traders and partnerships from a wide array of business sectors. You will work closely with your clients, acting as their primary point of contact and having responsibility for ensuring that all work for your clients is completed accurately and efficiently, maintaining the excellent service levels they have come to expect from the firm.
Aside from the client management aspect of the role, you will be responsible for managing and assisting in the development of a small team which is likely to consist of 2 - 3 staff. You will be responsible for delegating and reviewing their work and providing feedback and support to them as necessary. Strong coaching skills and excellent technical knowledge are therefore a must.
Working closely with the Senior Partner, you will play a key role in the continued success and growth of the firm, directly contributing to the continued growth strategy.
Networking and involvement with business development will also be a factor in the role, both with the existing client base and with a view to winning over prospective clients. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are imperative for this role as it is key that you can build and maintain a successful working relationship with an array of clients.
The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified with strong and varied general practice experience with the ambition and desire to play an integral role in the development of a forward thinking-firm.
