Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with an established and forward-thinking firm of chartered accountants in Cardiff who are now looking to add an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to their team.
The workload will be varied with the successful person’s role involving the preparation of accounts to trial balance stage, undertaking client bookkeeping, the preparation of VAT returns, and providing training and support to clients on bookkeeping software.
As an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper you will have experience of working within practice as experience of dealing with multiple clients is essential. You will have experience of undertaking bookkeeping work and will have experience in the use of Sage, Quickbooks and Xero software.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a varied bookkeeping role within practice and may be AAT Qualified or working towards this currently.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Undertaking client bookkeeping work
Preparation of VAT returns
Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
Preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Attending client premises as required
Providing accounting advice and support to clients
AAT Part Qualified / AAT Qualified
Experience of working in a practice environment is essential
