Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with an established and growing firm of accountants in Coventry who are now looking to add an Accounts Assistant / Accounts Semi Senior to their expanding team.

As an Accounts Assistant / Accounts Semi Senior you will undertake a varied role in which you will be responsible for the preparation of year-end and management accounts, the preparation and submission of VAT returns and undertaking client bookkeeping (both in-house or at clients’ premises).

The successful individual may be AAT Qualified or at the latter stages of their studies and you will have experience of undertaking a varied general practice role. Individuals who have commenced their ACCA studies will also be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Preparation of basic personal and corporate tax computations and returns
Undertaking Bookkeeping work for clients
Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
Liaising with clients to resolve queries where necessary

Skills:

AAT Qualified or Qualified by Experience (ACCA Students will be considered)
Experience of working in practice is essential
