Clark Wood is excited to partner with a prominent independent accounting firm based in Weston Super Mare as they seek an Accounts Assistant to join their expanding team.
As an Accounts Assistant , you will manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and delivering exceptional service. This role involves direct client interaction, providing valuable advice and resolving queries effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, including tax computations and capital allowance calculations from both manual and digital records, without relying solely on automated software feeds.
Prepare self-assessment, partnership, and CT600 tax returns.
Utilize various accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Tax Calc, VT, and Microsoft Excel.
Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
Provide training to clients on digital systems as needed.
Attend relevant courses to enhance your professional development.
Requirements:
AAT student or AAT Qualified
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
