Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with this well-renowned and highly progressive firm of chartered accountants in Maidenhead as they are currently seeking to recruit an Accounts & Outsourcing Senior to join their growing team.

Our client is a full-service practice and they work with a wide and diverse range of interesting clients across Berkshire with a particular emphasis on growth focused, entrepreneurial businesses.

They are looking for an individual to join the outsourcing department where you will undertake a varied and challenging role which will allow for exposure to working with a variety of business from an array of industries.

As an Accounts & Outsourcing Senior you will have responsibility for the management of your own portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for the provision of a mix of services to clients including the preparation of year-end accounts and corporation tax computations, bookkeeping and management accounts, preparing and reviewing VAT returns, and assisting & providing guidance to clients on other financial matters including cash flow forecasting.

The successful individual may be ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified and will have experience of working with multiple clients in a practice environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as you will be liaising directly with clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Management of your own portfolio of clients to assist in all outsourced finance related matters
Preparation and review of year end statutory accounts and draft corporation tax returns and related working papers
Bookkeeping and management accounts preparation
Preparation, review and filing of VAT returns. Experience of EC sales lists, VAT registration and partial VAT exemption
Providing ad-hoc accounting support to clients in areas such as cash flow forecasting, stock system implementation and changing accounting software
Liaise with clients/HMRC by post, email and phone
Assisting with other ad-hoc assignments in relation to the financial affairs of client
Responsibility for billing clients
Working with a wide range of clients across many sectors

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified (QBE candidates will also be considered)
Experience of working within practice is essential
Strong software experience (including cloud accounting software)
