Accounts & Audit Supervisor

Accountancy practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a very reputable and well-respected regional practice who, as a result of continued growth, are seeking to recruit an ambitious Accounts & Audit Supervisor to join the team in their office near Cheam.

This role will involve the management of a varied portfolio of both audit and non-audit clients and you will be involved in overseeing the completion of audit assignments for your respective clients.

The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA Qualified and will have excellent general practice experience including a good background in leading audits. This role offers genuine scope for career development within a highly reputable firm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the audit plan and ensures it appropriately addresses audit objectives, taking audit assignments from planning through to conclusion for significant audit engagements including supervision of staff and client management
Act as an advisor to owner managed businesses on a range of accounts and business issues
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Review accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies & partnerships

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified    
Audit experience is essential
