Clark Wood are currently recruiting for an ambitious Accounts & Audit Senior to join a respected independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Penrith.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA / ACCA part-qualified or qualified accountant looking for a varied role within a supportive accountancy practice. The successful candidate will work with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and charitable organisations, gaining exposure to both accounts and audit assignments.

The Role
As an Accounts & Audit Senior, you will be responsible for a varied portfolio of client work, including:

Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
Completing corporation tax computations and supporting with tax compliance.
Assisting with audit assignments from planning through to completion.
Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.
Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing support where required.
Working closely with Managers and Partners to deliver a high-quality client service.

The role is approximately 80% accounts and 20% audit, although this can vary depending on experience and client requirements.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:

ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified status (study support available).
Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and UK accounting standards.
Some audit experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ability to manage workloads and work independently.
