Accounts & Audit Senior - Ashby de la Zouch

Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a prestigious and leading regional firm of accountants who are looking to recruit an Accounts & Audit Senior to join their team in Ashby

The ideal candidate will be an ACA / ACCA Qualified and will have varied general practice experience including experience of taking a lead role in the completion of Audit assignments on a variety of clients, as well as experience of supervising junior staff.

The role will involve a mixture of accounts, tax and audit work and you will gain exposure to a diverse client base including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships from a range of industry sectors. The weighting of the workload will be fairly evenly balanced between the audit element of the role and the accounts and tax aspect.

Duties & Responsibilities

Act as an advisor to owner managed businesses on a range of accounts and business issues
Leading of audit assignments (from planning through to conclusion) for significant audit engagements including supervision of staff and client management 
Review work prepared, ensuring quality in compliance with professional standards/requirements
Monitor budget and understand commercial aspects involved such as billings and collections
Reporting to the manager/partner in charge 
Preparation of statutory accounts for a range of client types and sizes
Preparation of business/corporate taxation computations and returns, dealing with some routine associated tax queries

Skills

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
Experience of undertaking a varied Audit, Accounts and Tax role
