Accounts & Audit Senior

Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a very well established and highly reputable firm of Chartered Accountants who are now seeking to recruit an Accounts & Audit Senior to join the team in their Peterborough office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading audit assignments from planning through to completion including supervising audit teams whilst on site at clients' premises. Aside from the audit work you will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing Year-End Accounts as well as the associated Corporate Tax computations.

The workload will be weighted towards the audit aspect of the role with this element comprising approximately 80% - 90% of the overall position.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified (or at the latter stages of their studies) and will have strong practice experience including having had significant exposure leading audit assignments on a variety of clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

To audit a broad range of companies in varying industries from small owner managed companies to large groups
Completion of audit assignments from planning through to completion
Preparation of statutory accounts (including consolidated statutory accounts)
Corporation tax compliance work
Supervision and mentoring of trainees

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading audit assignments
