Accounts & Audit Senior

Clark Wood is delighted to be working with a well-established and forward-thinking firm of Chartered Accountants in Exmouth, who are seeking an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to join their growing team.

This is a varied role offering a 50/50 split between audit and accounts, ideal for a confident and client-facing professional looking to progress their career within a supportive and dynamic practice.

The Role:

• Lead and assist on audit assignments from planning through to completion

• Prepare statutory year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders

• Supervise and review work of junior staff, providing guidance and support

• Build and maintain strong client relationships

• Work with cloud-based and audit software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, CaseWare, etc.)

• Report directly to managers and partners on progress and technical matters

About You:

• ACA / ACCA qualified or finalist with relevant experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in audit and accounts within practice

• Confident in client-facing situations and managing multiple assignments

• Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and audit standards

• Excellent communication and organisational skills
