Accounts & Audit Senior

​As an Accounts & Audit Senior, you will play a key role in delivering audit and assurance services to a broad portfolio of clients across a range of sectors including owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and not-for-profit organisations.

Working closely with Audit Managers and Partners, you will lead onsite audit teams, mentor junior staff, and ensure that high standards of work are maintained. This is an ideal role for a part-qualified or newly qualified ACA/ACCA professional looking to take the next step in their career within a respected regional practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and assist on external audit engagements from planning through to completion

• Conduct fieldwork and supervise audit teams on-site and remotely

• Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and FRS 102

• Identify and communicate any technical or audit issues to senior management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and act as a key point of contact

• Assist in training and mentoring junior audit staff

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal procedures

Requirements

• ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (finalist level candidates considered)

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within an audit-focused role in practice

• Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing standards and FRS 102

• Experience with cloud accounting and audit software (e.g. CaseWare, CCH, or similar)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
