​​​Exciting Opportunity: Audit Senior Position in Chandler's Ford

Clark Wood is partnering with a local firm of accountants in Chandler's Ford, presenting an excellent opportunity for an experienced, organized, and motivated Audit Senior to join our dynamic Audit and Accounts team.

Role Purpose:

As a key member of the audit team, you will ensure that audit planning, fieldwork, and completion adhere to high standards, facilitating the timely finalization of audit reports.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified; part-qualified candidates will also be considered.

  • Experience: Recent audit experience within a practice environment, with a proven track record of leading external audit assignments from planning to completion. Proficiency with FRS 102 is essential.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively engage with senior colleagues and clients.

  • Motivation: A proactive approach to taking ownership of tasks, coupled with organized workload management.

  • Deadline Management: Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks within time and budget constraints.

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in all tasks.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (intermediate to advanced level). Familiarity with IRIS Accountancy software is a plus.

  • Transportation: Car owner with a full UK driving license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, complete, and finalize audit and accounts preparation assignments following internal procedures, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.

  • Prepare and finalize financial statements and tax computations.

  • Present files to the Business Advisor and Director for review within agreed timelines.

  • Develop and monitor budgets for audit assignments.

  • Set objectives for junior audit staff, supervise them on-site, and provide on-the-job training as needed.

  • Review audit work conducted by junior staff and provide constructive feedback to aid their professional development.
