Clark Wood, a specialist recruitment consultancy within the Public Practice Accountancy and Tax sectors, is seeking an experienced Accounts & Audit Supervisor to join a thriving accountancy firm in Thame.

As an Accounts & Audit Supervisor, you will oversee a variety of accounts preparation, tax compliance, and audit assignments. You will manage a portfolio of clients, providing high-quality service and ensuring the efficient completion of tasks. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and review the preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies

Oversee the preparation of accounts for sole traders and partnerships

Manage the preparation of corporation tax returns and personal tax returns

Plan and supervise audit assignments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Conduct audit fieldwork, manage audit teams, and liaise with clients to resolve queries

Provide clients with expert advice on accounting, tax, and business matters

Mentor and develop junior team members, providing training and support

Ideal Candidate:

Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent with significant experience in a similar role

Proven experience in accounts preparation, tax compliance, and audit assignments

Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team

Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
