​Clark Wood is collaborating with a local firm of Accountants in Chandler's Ford, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced, diligent, organized, and motivated Audit Senior to join our dynamic Audit and Accounts team.

Role Purpose:

As an integral part of the audit team, your role will focus on ensuring that audit planning, fieldwork, and completion meet high standards, enabling HWB to finalize audit reports.

Ideal Candidate:

Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA); consideration given to part-qualified candidates.

Recent audit experience within a practice environment, with a proven track record of leading external audit assignments from planning through to completion. Proficiency with FRS102 is essential.

Strong interpersonal skills, capable of effective communication with senior colleagues and clients.

Motivated to take ownership of tasks, with an organized and methodical approach to workload management.

Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks within time and budget constraints.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Proficient user of Microsoft Office, particularly intermediate to advanced skills in Excel. Familiarity with IRIS Accountancy software is advantageous.

Car owner with a full UK driving license.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, complete, and finalize audit and accounts preparation assignments in accordance with internal procedures, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.

Prepare and finalize financial statements and tax computations.

Present files to Business Advisor and Director for review within agreed timelines.

Develop and monitor audit assignment budgets.

Set objectives for junior audit staff, supervise them on-site, and provide on-the-job training as necessary.

Review audit work conducted by junior staff, offering constructive feedback to support their professional growth.
