Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a well-established and highly regarded independent firm of accountants in Hereford who are seeking to add an ACA / ACCA Qualified or nearly Qualified Accounts & Audit Senior to their team.

This well-renowned and highly progressive firm have a fantastic presence in in the local area, and they are now looking to add an ambitious individual who is keen to progress their career with a growing firm.

The successful candidate will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide array of clients from a variety of business sectors.

You will play an active part in the completion of audit assignments, taking a lead role from the initial planning through to completion. You will also have responsibility for preparing and reviewing  year-end accounts for limited companies and the associated corporation tax returns as part of a varied role.

As an Accounts & Audit Senior you will be client facing and will always be responsible for representing the firm in a professional manner. You will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, assisting in their development and providing guidance and support where necessary.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies & partnerships

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
