Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a prominent and extremely well-regarded independent firm of chartered accountants in central London who are looking to add an Accounts & Audit Senior / Supervisor to their existing team.
This well renowned and highly progressive regional firm of accountants have an already established and continually expanding presence across Hertfordshire, Middlesex and London and they are now looking to add an ambitious individual who is keen to progress their career with a thriving and forward-thinking firm.
Working as an Accounts & Audit Senior you will undertake a varied role which will see you involved in the provision of a variety of services to clients across audit, accounts and tax.
You will be responsible for leading statutory audit assignments on a variety of clients from the initial planning through to completion. This aspect of the role will comprise approximately 60 – 70% of the overall workload. Aside from the audit element of the role, you will also be responsible for the preparation and review of year end accounts as well as corporate tax returns.
The role will be client facing and you will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, assisting in their development.
The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies & partnerships
Preparation of corporate tax returns
ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
