Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a leading and highly regarded firm of chartered accountants in Tunbridge Wells who are looking to add an Accounts & Audit Senior to their team.

Working as an Accounts & Audit Senior, the successful person will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors.

The role involves leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion on a broad array of clients including stand-alone limited companies and group structured entities among others. You will take a lead role on each assignment you are involved with, having responsibility for the supervision of junior staff.

You will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing year-end and management accounts for a range of clients as well as completing corporate tax returns.

You will be client facing and will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, assisting in their development.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position. Experience of leading audit assignments is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Accounts preparation for limited companies & partnerships

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
