Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a highly reputable and progressive firm of accountants who are seeking to add an ACA / ACCA Qualified Accounts & Audit Senior to their team in Edgware.

This highly regarded forward-thinking independent firm are looking to add an ambitious individual who is keen to progress their career with a growing firm.

As an Accounts & Audit Senior you will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. The role will include the preparation and review of accounts and tax compliance work as well as leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion with the audit aspect of the role accounting for 50% of the overall workload.

You will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, aiding their developing and providing guidance to them at each stage of the assignment. You will be directly client facing and as such, excellent communication skills are a pre-requisite for the successful candidate.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies & partnerships

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
