Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a well-renowned and leading firm of chartered accountants who are looking to add an ACA / ACCA Qualified Accounts & Audit Senior to the team in their Scunthorpe office.

This prestigious and progressive regional firm have a fantastic presence across Lincolnshire, and they are now looking to add an ambitious individual who is keen to advance their career in a position where there will be real scope for development.

As an Accounts & Audit Senior, the successful candidate will undertake a varied and interesting role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. The role will include the preparation and review of accounts and tax compliance work as well as leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion on a range of businesses.

You will be client facing and will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, assisting in their development and providing support and guidance to them where possible.

As you develop in the role, you will be given the opportunity to take control of your own diverse portfolio of clients. You will have responsibility for building and maintain strong working relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring that the service provided meets the firm’s excellent standards.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position. Prior client management experience is beneficial but isn’t essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Accounts preparation for both audit and audit-exempt limited companies, sole traders & partnerships
Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
Preparation of self-assessment tax returns
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
