Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a well-regarded and progressive firm of chartered accountants in Bedfordshire who are seeking to add an Accounts & Audit Senior to their team in Ampthill.

This well regarded and prestigious firm of accountants have a fantastic reputation for employee development, and they are now looking to add an ambitious individual who is keen to progress their career with a thriving and forward-thinking firm.

As an Accounts & Audit Senior the successful candidate will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. The role will include the preparation and review of accounts and tax compliance work as well as leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion. The audit element of the role is likely to form around 20-30% of the overall workload.

The role will be client facing and you will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, assisting in their development. Being based in Ampthill, you will work with a range of businesses from across the Bedfordshire area.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies & partnerships

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
