Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a leading Suffolk practice who are looking to add an accounts and audit senior to their team in Bury St Edmunds

As an Accounts and Audit Senior you will gain exposure to a diverse client base including limited companies and group structured businesses, sole traders, and partnerships from a variety of industry sectors. The audit aspect of the role is likely to make up approximately 30% - 40% of the overall workload but this will be dependent on the individual to an extent.

Duties & Responsibilities

Act as an advisor to owner managed businesses on a range of accounts and business issues
Leading of audit assignments (from planning through to conclusion) for significant audit engagements including supervision of staff and client management
Review work prepared, ensuring quality in compliance with professional standards/requirements
Monitor budget and understand commercial aspects involved such as billings and collections
Reporting to the manager/partner in charge
Preparation of statutory accounts for a range of client types and sizes
Preparation of business/corporate taxation computations and returns, dealing with some routine associated tax queries

Skills

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
