Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a distinguished and highly regarded firm of chartered accountants in Liverpool who are looking to add an Accounts & Audit Senior to their successful team.

This forward-thinking firm have a fantastic reputation for delivering excellent levels of client service and they are now looking to add an ambitious individual to the team who is keen to develop their career with a well-renowned firm.

Working as an Accounts & Audit Senior, the successful individual will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. The role will see you leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion as well as the preparation and review of year-end accounts and tax compliance. The audit weighted element of the role will comprise approximately 40% of the overall workload.

You will be responsible for supervising junior members of the audit team, assisting in their development and providing guidance to them

The ideal person will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Plan and run statutory audit assignments on business in a diverse range of industries
Prepare statutory accounts for companies, sole traders, and partnerships
Understand and apply auditing and accounting standards and Companies Act requirements and UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS
Draft tax computations
Prepare Management accounts
Draft management letters and reports
Supervise and train junior staff
Ad hoc assignments such as due diligence, business planning & management consultancy

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
