Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a leading and highly regarded firm of chartered accountants who are seeking to add an Accounts & Audit Senior to the team in their Sheffield office.

This well renowned and highly progressive firm of accountants have a fantastic presence across the South Yorkshire area and they are now looking to add an ambitious individual who is keen to progress their career with a thriving and forward-thinking firm.

As an Accounts & Audit Senior you will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. The role will include the preparation and review of accounts and tax compliance work as well as leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion.

The role will be client facing and you will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, assisting in their development and providing support as necessary.

Previous experience of leading audit assignments on a variety of corporate clients is essential for this position.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies & partnerships
Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of undertaking a mixed accounts and audit role
Experience of leading audit assignments
