Accounts & Audit Senior

This well-established and highly respected regional firm of accountants are looking to recruit an Audit Senior in the Brighton area.

They have a strong portfolio consisting predominately of privately-owned businesses and can offer excellent career progression to career driven individuals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

You will be involved in the planning and responsible for carrying out designated audits and to ensure the smooth running of the fieldwork stage for a wide range of clients
Undertaking statutory audit and preparation of accounts, reports, proposals etc. under the supervision of Managers and/or Partners
Co-ordinate fieldwork at clients including liaising with relevant departments
Developing and supervision of trainees
Perform an assessment of the systems and controls and identify risks as a result of this review
Perform preliminary analytical review and highlight risk areas for further audit investigation
Consider expected trends and ensure analytical review addresses this. Communicate expected trends and relevant ratios that should be included in this review to the audit team
In light of the above produce a coasted work programme for the assignment tailored to the risks associated with the client
Draft the budget and assign audit areas to team members (where applicable) so as to manage the audit risks and develop the team members

Skills:

ACA or ACCA qualified
Experience of leading external audit assignments from fieldwork to completion stages
